INHERITING GLORY

Proverbs 3:35 NKJV: The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools.

In this 3rd. day, glory refers to the manifestation of the glory of God in our lives as it was in the life and ministry of Christ (Jn. 2:11-12).

This will enable us do the works Jesus did and greater (Jn. 14:12).

The wise are those who have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God concerning the manifestation of the glory like Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:15-23.

God wants us to grow up into Christ in all things.

Ephesians 4:15 NKJV
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ-

Although the Ephesian church was born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Act. 19.5,6) yet they did not have this spirit of wisdom and revelation. It was Paul’s prayer for them to have it.

Similarly today, simply being born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit does not automatically give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

You need to start praying the Pauline prayer as a habit on a daily basis. This is in addition to walking in the fear of God since the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (Pr.9:10).

We must note that the glory of God is not a gift but the reward of an inheritance (Col.3:24) which is not given to children but to mature sons (Eph.4:13-15, Gal.4:1-2), who;

– Make covenant by sacrifice to grow from spiritual childhood to maturity (Ps. 50.5).

– Have the fear of God and practice it so that they will be entrusted with the wisdom of God and so inherit the glory of God at this time.
