THE FLOOD OF HIS COMING

OLUBI JOHNSON

Matthew 24:37-39 KJV But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

The coming of the Lord back to the earth is in three stages:

1. His coming in us in the perfection and fulness of Christ (2Thess. 1:10; Eph. 4:13).

2. His coming for us in the rapture or ‘catching away’ (Rev. 12:5; 1Thess. 4:17).

3. His coming with us to destroy the armies of the anti-Christ and begin the millennial reign (Rev. 17:14; Rev. 20:6).

We are now in the season of the first section of His coming: His coming in us.
The scriptures show us that we are to grow up spiritually, by perfecting the love of God in us to be exactly like the Lord Jesus was in this world (not just when we get to heaven). This is how He is going to appear in us. This coming in us will be like the flood of Noah (Matt. 24:37-39).

As the Lord comes in us in the perfection and fulness of Christ, He will release a flood of His power that will firstly bring vengeance (Isa. 61:2) and judgment upon the rebellious church. These are Christians who have stubbornly refused the instruction to perfect the love of God (1 Jn. 2:5), and so have not forsaken the idolatry of covetousness (Col. 3:5; Isa. 35:4).

Almost immediately after the vengeance starts, there will also be a release of glory that will exalt and so reward those in the ‘ark’ of the perfection of the love of God. This ark of the love of God is already built and ready.

However, God is now filling the ark with the animals or ‘living things’ (Gen. 7:1-4). The animals represent born-again Christians, living things that have the life of God in their spirits (1 Jhn. 5:12), have a willingness to perfect the love of God in their lives but do not have the knowledge to do so at this time.

There are millions of Christians like this trapped in traditional, religious organizations whose traditions are making the Word of God of none effect (Matt. 15:6), but who are sighing deeply in their hearts desiring the perfection of the love of God in their lives. They are typified in Ezek. 9:3-7.

So God is drawing these ‘living things’ into the ark, by his Spirit, through the deep, united praying in the Spirit of saints who have the knowledge of the perfection of the love of God. Once the ark is filled, the flood will come.

So it is vital NOW to firstly, have a willingness to perfect the love of God. Secondly, to start practicing once you have the knowledge, so that the coming flood of judgment will not cause you to be cut-off, but rather it will cause you to grow and perfect the love of God within the ark!
