Daily Rhema: Fire and Righteousness

Luke 3:17 NIV
His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

God is on the verge of visiting His Church with a fire of judgement that will purify the Church so that she can receive the ‘rain of righteousness’ (Mal. 3:1-3).

This fire of judgement is necessary to purge the Church of its filthiness so that she can be a ‘branch of the Lord in the earth that will be beautiful and glorious’ (Isa. 4:2-4).

It is this fire of judgement that will cause us to learn righteousness unto perfection (Isa. 26:9-11).

After this fire of judgement, God will now rain righteousness upon the Church and she will receive and bring forth the fruit of righteousness.

Hosea. 10:12-13(NKJV): Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.

So how do we prepare for this fire of judgement?

We do this by becoming vessels of gold and silver (2Tim. 2.20-21), by partaking of the second circumcision, which involves making the decision to walk daily in the fear and love of God, by the grace and mercy of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and following that decision with the action of daily practicing the same as a habit.

This is because fire will not destroy gold or silver; rather it will refine them. But fire will destroy wood, hay and stubble:

1Corinthians 3:11-15(NKJV)
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Without the second circumcision, you cannot be a vessel of gold or silver. So right now it is vital to partake and be healed of the second circumcision by making the decision to walk daily in the fear of God and the love of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Who releases the grace and mercy of God into our lives.
