FULFILLING YOUR DESTINY

Colossians 3:3 NKJV:
Your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Every human being has a prophetic destiny hidden in the scriptures, which God wants us to fulfill.

Revelation 22:19 NKJV: and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things, which are written in this book.

Here, the scripture reveals that every person has a part in the book of life, the holy city and things written in the Word of God (not just the book of revelation).

Now, being born-again and so retaining your name in the book of life is just the first part of your destiny: it is not your full destiny.

Your full destiny has three major aspects to it that must be experienced as you live your life on earth:
1 . Being conformed to the image of Christ in this life time (Rom. 8:29; Jn. 14:12).
2 . Good health and financial prosperity which will be increasingly enjoyed the more you become conformed to the image of Christ (3Jhn. 2).
3 . Long physical life to have time to fulfill 1 & 2 and be satisfied (Ps. 91:16; Prov. 9:10-11).

These experiences will ensure that: You establish your part in the book of life.
You are rewarded with your part in the holy city in heaven. You experience all the details peculiar to your life that are hidden in the bible in your lifetime (Jer. 1:4-5)

Psalms 40:7 NKJV:
Then I said, “Here I am, I have come– it is written about me in the scroll.

Sadly, most Christians just barely make it into the book of life (i.e. go to heaven), but suffer the loss of the other two parts. Why?

Because they do not develop the love of God that overcomes the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life (1Jn. 2:16) and cannot avoid the mistakes of:
1 . Jonathan who put natural relationships above spiritual relationships (Mt. 10:37-39).
2 . Joab who had a streak of rebellion in him that made him rebuke king David (2Sam. 19:1-7 cp.1 Tim. 5:1) in David’s time of weakness, after Absalom had been killed.
3 . Gehazi who missed his destiny because of covetousness: a heart that was not content with God’s present level of financial and material provision for him (2Ki. 5:20-27).

Therefore, in order to fulfill the fulness of your destiny, you must develop the love of God to perfection.

Romans 13:8-10 NKJV:
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law…” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

1 John 2:5 NKJV:
But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him.
