MANIFESTING RESURRECTION LIFE

OLUBI JOHNSON

2Corinthians 4:11 KJV
For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

God wants us to manifest the reality of the Lord Jesus’ resurrection, by allowing His resurrection life to be made manifest in our physical bodies now: by that life producing consistent spectacular miracles through our physical bodies, like it did in Peter (Acts 5:15-16), Paul (Acts 19:11-12) and the Lord Jesus (Mk.6:54-56).

The gift we can give the Lord in this season of the Feast of Tabernacles is the dedication and consecration of our hearts to operate with diligence the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, so that His resurrection life and power will be made manifest in our mortal bodies now (Rom.8:10-11).

How do we get the life of God to flow from our spirits into our physical bodies now in sufficient measure to manifest this resurrection life?

By the blood, the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 6:53-56 ESV
So Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.

John 6:63 ESV
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

How do we feed on His flesh and drink His blood?

We must understand here that the Lord Jesus is speaking spiritually, using symbolic spiritual language .

1) We drink His blood by confessing our sins, so His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness, so the life of God can flow from Christ to us by the Holy Spirit, without the sin substance (spots of sin) hindering it (1Jn.1:7-9; Heb.13:20-21).

2) We eat His flesh by believing with our hearts and confessing with our mouths, the exceeding great and precious promises of God that promise us divine life, which the Holy Spirit causes to flow into our spirits (2Pet. 1:2-4; Deut.30:14-15).

3) We then, as it were, pump this life of God from our spirits into our physical bodies by praying with tongues and travail, by the power of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:26; 2Cor. 5:4).

It is instructive to note that Christ Himself prayed with groanings, travail or strong crying in this way as a daily habit (Heb. 5:7).

He released the life of God from His spirit into His body and circumstances in sufficient measure (before He was entrusted with the Spirit without measure) to constantly manifest the glory of God, like He did when He raised Lazarus from the dead (Jn.11:33, 38-44).

So as we drink His blood, eat His flesh and pray with groanings diligently as a daily habit, we will gradually cause resurrection life to be made manifest in our mortal bodies now!
