OCCUPYING THE AIR
Ephesians 2:2-3(KJV)
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience…
In this Scripture, Satan is called the prince of the power of the air. The air around is full of satanic power, in the form of a substance called spiritual death.
This substance is released daily into the air through the words of unbelievers, whose hearts are full of this spiritual death (the satanic nature).
Their mouths are simply speaking from the abundance of their hearts (Lk. 6:45).

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
This spiritual death in the air is used by Satan and his principalities and powers to dominate the thoughts, words, circumstances and actions of men, without them being conscious of the fact that they are being remotely-controlled by Satan.
The challenge of the hour is to dethrone Satan in the air, to influence men for good and not evil, so that the will of God will be done in the earth as it is in heaven. We occupy the air by (as a habit):
1 . Daily prayer in the Spirit.
2 . Binding the devil in the air.
3 . Releasing into the air the seven Spirits of God simply saying with our mouths and in our hearts that we have them (Isa. 11:2).
The Spirit of the Lord is the spirit of love, so the seven spirits are: love, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, might and the fear of God.
These seven spirits are released from the throne of God into all the earth (Rev. 4:5, 5:6), by Christians who have become spiritual princes. For the majority who have not grown to this level, they can still release these seven spirits into their own circumstances, under the covering of a spiritual prince (Isa. 8:18).
A spiritual prince is one who has prevailed with God in prayer and so has power with God and men (Gen. 32:28).
The power of the Holy Spirit coming out of the mouths of two Christians speaking in unity and faith will counteract the spiritual death coming out of the mouths of ten thousand unbelievers (Deut 32:30).
So the more Christians who practice these principles to occupy the air the greater the power of the Holy Spirit that will be released to neutralize the spiritual death in the air and influence the thoughts, words, circumstances and actions of men for good rather than evil.
The Church is on the verge of the biggest breakthrough the earth has ever seen (Mic. 2:13). Not a breakthrough of those who are seeking first after personal physical gains.
This will be a breakthough of spiritual dominion in the heavens, where an army of intercessor saints (like Gideon’s army), who are seeking first the Kingdom, will cast down Satan from his age-old position as the prince of the power of the air (Rev. 12:10).
This will usher the Church into a new season, defined by the manifestation of the power of the Spirit without measure upon the earth.
The purpose of this article therefore, is to inform the Church of the strategic and urgent necessity of joining God’s spiritual army, who are in the process of occupying the air, so as to be partakers of the first fruits of the great manifestation of the sons of God that is imminent (2Tim. 2:6).
