PERSONALLY FULFILLING THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

OLUBI JOHNSON

John 7:37-39 KJV
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive).

The three annual feasts of Israel (Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles; Exo.23:14-16), are shadows of three experiences we are to have in Christ (Col. 2:16-17).

The Church has experienced Passover (being born-again 1Cor. 5:7-8) and Pentecost (initial outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Acts 2:1-4), but is yet to experience Tabernacles in its fullness.

The feast of Tabernacles has three parts to it:

– Blowing of Trumpets: is symbolic of the prophetic voice in the Church (Isa. 58:1; Rev.1:10). It is experienced individually as you pray daily in tongues and by this receive personal revelation of the perfection and fulness of Christ (1Cor. 14:2, 2:7).

– Day of Atonement: typifies the removal and cleansing of the sin nature from our souls and bodies by washing of the water of the Word (Eph. 5:26), through the power of the Holy Spirit (2Cor. 7:1), released through fasting and prayer (Lev. 23:26-27).

We personally experience this inner cleansing of the sin-nature as we see our sin-rate drop drastically, and we experience a new degree of inner purity in our souls: wills, minds and emotions typified by the white stone in Rev. 2:17.

– Feast of Tabernacles: typifies the manifestation of the glory and power of God in the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, after the fruit of the Spirit (divine love) has been perfected: developed to maturity (Jn. 7:2; Eph. 4:13).

You cannot experience Pentecost without Passover. You cannot experience Tabernacles without Pentecost.

We have experienced Trumpets and the Day of Atonement in a limited degree. We are now in the year and the season of the fulfilment of the fullness of the Feast of Tabernacles.

This experience is firstly individual (Lk. 6:40;Jn.14:12) and then corporately in the Church (Eph. 4:13). So individually now, each of us should start experiencing the feasts of Trumpets and Day of Atonement.

Use the blood, the Word and the Spirit to gradually perfect the love of God to experience the feast of Tabernacles: the manifestation of the Spirit without measure, firstly as a borrowed anointing, and then later, secondly as a personally inherited anointing.

This manifestation of the sons of God (Rom. 8:19) will lead to a worldwide revival, evangelization and discipleship of all the nations (tribes and tongues) and a harvest of the fruit of the Spirit in the Church (Isa.60:1-5).
