REMOVING THE VEIL
OLUBI JOHNSON
2Corinthians 3:16,18 NKJV
Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
We are presently living in a time that is prophetically typified by Noah’s stay in the ark on Mount Ararat, with the flood waters receding. As the waters finally dry up, it culminates in the removal of the covering of the ark and the final exit of Noah, his family and the animals from the ark to replenish the earth (Gen. 8:4-5).
The mountains here (Isa. 2:2) typify prayer, and the ‘tops’ of the mountains refer to revelation and understanding, the highest operation of prayer: prayer to perfect the love of God and enforce the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is the kingdom or, the dominion of love, for God is love! (1Jn. 4:16).
While the house of the Lord is love, the ark typifies the revelation and practice of the perfection of the love of God by the blood, the Word and the Spirit (Sgs. 8:7; 1Jn. 4:12-18).
The flood waters typify the flood of iniquity and spiritual death that is currently abounding in the earth, and overwhelming those not in the ark of love: even Christians who have a name that they live, but are dying spiritually (Rev. 12:15; Matt.24:12).
As the flood waters recede from the ark, those in the ark with understanding begin to ‘see’ spiritually more clearly, because the spiritual death in the air around them is decreasing, causing the ‘eyes’ of their understanding to become more enlightened (Eph. 4:18; Lk. 11:34-36; Jn. 8:12, 1:4).
When the veil of the ark is finally removed, the spiritual darkness in the air around those in the ark is totally removed, so they now see the Word clearly under the covering of a spiritually perfect and mature leadership, and no longer darkly as spiritual children as they used to before, receiving the same light that is on this perfect and mature leadership (1Cor. 13:10-12; Num. 12:7-8; Ps. 133:1-3).
When they leave the ark, they now go into the world to take this feast of the light of God’s wisdom, to remove the veil from the ‘eyes’ of all nations, effecting the discipleship of the nations, at the end of which this age will close (Isa. 25:6-7; Matt. 24:14)!
