Daily Rhema: RULING IN THE MIDST OF YOUR ENEMIES

Psalms 110:2 MKJV
Jehovah shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion; rule in the midst of Your enemies.

Here, the Scripture tells us that God will send a rod of strength out of Zion, which is symbolic of the perfect Church (Psa. 50:2), that will rule in the midst of our enemies.

Our enemies are the desires of the sin nature in our carnal minds (Rom. 8:7) and flesh (Eph. 2:2-3). When we overcome and rule over these enemies, we escape the corruption that is in the world that comes through the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life (1Jn. 2:16).

We will rule over these enemies by the rod of strength out of Zion. That rod is the spiritual power released from a believer, who is tapping directly into the intercession the Lord Jesus is making constantly at the right hand of the Father (Heb. 7:25).

We do this by:-

1 . Diligent, effectual, fervent praying in the Spirit with travail daily, early in the morning (Mk. 1:35) like the Lord Jesus did (Heb. 5:7).

2 . Watching and praying always throughout the rest of the day (Matt. 26:41). This requires us to regularly (at least once every six hours – Deut. 6:7), release the power of forgiveness for ourselves and the people around us, asking life for them (1Jn. 5:16) and praying in tongues briefly to build them and ourselves up (Jude 1:20-21).

As we do this, we generate and release:

a . The joy of the Lord which overcomes the lust of the flesh: sensual gratification (Psa. 16:8-11). This pleasure, or joy at God’s right hand far exceeds any pleasures of the flesh and sin.

b . The humility of Christ which overcomes the pride of life: the pride of the attainment of human position, ambition and honour (Phil. 2:5-9). This humility will cause our exaltation.

c . The wealth in Christ which overcomes the lusts of the eyes: the desire for material things.(2Cor. 8:9). In Christ we are made rich with financial and material wealth that exceeds the wealth of men in this world.

The time and season of the fulfilment of these things is upon us; so let us arise and rule in the midst of our enemies with the rod of strength out of Zion!

By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.
