SOWING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
Hosea 10:12 KJV
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
To be established in righteousness we must sow in righteousness in our daily conduct.
We sow in rightstanding by being quick to confess and forsake sin (Pro. 28:13), and reap mercy that will triumph over the judgement that the sin would have set into motion (Jas. 2:13).
Proverbs 28:13(KJV)
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
We sow in rightdoing by daily prayer to receive the life of God and prayer in the Spirit, to release a sufficient amount of the life of God into our souls and bodies (Rom. 8:10-13).
This enables us to supernaturally walk in righteousness and holiness. When we do this, we reap mercy to be faithful (1Cor. 7:25).
Remember that judgements bring tribulation, which puts patience to work (Rom.5:3-4). Patience or consistency, causes our faith to produce the physical manifestation of God’s promises in our lives.
James 1:2-4(KJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Use every trial or circumstance of irritation, worry and resentment as an opportunity to pray. Acknowledge the Holy Spirit as a Person, asking Him for mercy to be faithful to overcome the trial or tribulation.
By so doing, the judgements God allows to come into your life will not be stumbling blocks of offense, but rather stepping stones of establishment in righteousness.
