THE INDESTRUCTIBLE SEED
1 Peter 1:23 GW
You have been born again, not from a seed that can be destroyed, but through God’s everlasting word that can’t be destroyed.
The Word of God is an indestructible, immortal seed which got us born again when it was planted in our spirits.
The seed of God’s Word may lie dormant in the earth and human hearts because of unbelief and disobedience. However, it is immortal and can never be destroyed, because the Word of God is Spirit and is life (Jhn. 6:63).
Spiritual beings are eternal: they cannot be destroyed. They can be confined and punished but not destroyed or annihilated, not even by God (Rev. 20:13-15). This is because they are spirits, and were created from a part of God that He breathed into them and GOD IS INDESTRUCTIBLE! (Gen. 2:7).
So how do we plant the seed of God’s Word? By continually;
– Speaking and thinking it (2 Cor. 4:13).
– Watering it by the power of the Spirit (Rom. 8:26), through efficient cleaning with the Blood (Heb. 13:20-21). This guarantees it being fruitful and yielding a bountiful harvest (Mrk. 4:26-29).
It took 4000 years for the seed of God’s Word planted in the Garden of Eden to bring forth the harvest of one perfect Son: the Lord Jesus. So now in this 3rd. day (Luk. 13:32) after 2000 years, the seed of God’s Word will bring forth in the earth a harvest of many perfect sons conformed to the image of Jesus (Eph. 4:11-13,15)
