Zechariah 10:1 NKJV
Ask the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain. The LORD will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone.

Here, we are told to ask or pray for the outpouring of the latter rain in the time or season of the latter rain.

Spiritually, the former rain is the teaching of the Word the Church has had in the last 2000 years. It softens men’s hearts to plant the seed of God’s Word. It gets us born-again, filled with the Holy Spirit, healed, delivered, materially and financially prospers us to a degree.

The latter rain is symbolic of the outpouring of the glory and power of God in the end-time Church. This is in response to the rain of the teaching of the Word of God concerning the perfection of the love of God in this end-time, or third day (Deut. 32:1-2).

The preaching and teaching of God’s Word is always accompanied with the power of God. However, the measure of power that accompanies the Word depends on the degree of consecration of the vessel being used to deliver the Word (Matt. 7:15-23).

It is the combination of the former and latter rain that brings in the harvest: a harvest of the nations, revelation knowledge and the glory of God (Joe. 2:23-24; Isa. 25.6-7).

This manifestation of the glory will begin by a sudden, spectacular coming of the Lord to His Church, or His temple. This will be done through groups of Christians made up of vessels of gold and silver that have and are perfecting the love of God in their lives (1Cor. 12:31-14:1).

The diligent, united praying of groups of Christians who are perfecting the love of God in them by the Blood, the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit will bring in the glory (1Pet. 4:7-8).

This is because we are forgiving one another’s sins, asking life for one another and building up one another, as we pray in tongues for ourselves (1Jn. 5:16; Jude 1:20).

This is just like it was during the united praying of the 120 disciples in the upper room that brought about the manifestation of the glory of God on the day of Pentecost (Acts 1:12-14, 2:1-4).

So right now, the Holy Spirit is asking us to join others in this united prayer in this upper room of the revelation of the love of God, to pray in the manifestation of the glory of God in this hour!

Joel 2:23-24 NKJV
Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.
