SONS OF ZADOK

OLUBI JOHNSON

Ezekiel 44:15 NKJV
But the priests, the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood, says the Lord GOD.

The glorious end-time Church that will manifest the fullness of Christ is prophetically and symbolically described as a city and temple (Ezk. 40-48).

In this temple or Church, we will have two kinds of priests: ordinary Levites and the sons of Zadok.

In the New Testament all Christians are called to be priests (Rev. 1:6; 1Pet. 2:5) so in the Old Testament sense, all Christians are Levites.

The ordinary Levites are born-again Christians who minister to God only in the outer court (Ezk. 44:10-14). The sons of Zadok are the born-again Christians who minister to God in the Holy Place and Most Holy Place (Eze. 44:15-18).

To be a son of Zadok at this time you must progress to ministering and living in the Holy Place. You might ask, how do I do this?

1. Have and maintain an attitude of humility and love so that your heart is open enough to receive enough of the light of God’s spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ps. 119:165).

Pride and offence closes the heart to the light of revelation and wisdom (Pro. 11:2).

2. Pray daily as a habit for the life of God, which gives light, and for the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Eph.1:16-18).

3. Pray in tongues frequently each day to speak mysteries and so draw out from your spirit into your mind, by revelation, the hidden wisdom of God (1Cor. 14:2, 5, 18).

4. Daily bible reading and study, in the light of anointed teaching from those who are approved of God, rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2Tim. 2:15; 3:15-17). It takes discipline to pray, read and study the Word on a daily basis consistently.

This is why many Christians remain in the outer court: it is easier for the flesh as they do not want the discipline and restrictions in the Holy Place.

There is more space in the outer court than in the Holy Place. The way there is broad: you can pray when you like and how you like with the natural understanding of the Word (Matt. 7:13-14).

However, it ultimately leads to the destruction of the flesh even though your spirit will be saved, so as by fire, since you are in Christ even though you are in the outer court (1Cor. 3:11-15; 5:5).
