THE SUFFICIENCY OF HIS GRACE
2Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
We are living in the end-time, in perilous times; a time of abounding iniquity (Matt. 24:12).
If the Christians will humble
themselves, fast, pray, seek God in genuine repentance, God will forgive and heal the land. If we keep seeing the abounding of iniquity in the nation, then the problem is with the Church and not just the sinners!
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Grace abounds much more than sin.
Where sin or evil may be abounding, as it is today in the Church and in the world, the grace of God is sufficient to abound even much more than the sin (Isa. 59:19).
When the enemy comes in like a flood, or when sin and evil may abound, the Spirit of the Lord, by the sufficiency of His grace, will raise up a standard against him and overcome the enemy and his attendant evil and sin!
The problem is knowing how you and I, the Church, are to tap into the sufficiency of His grace.
To make grace abound more than sin or iniquity we need:
1. Humility
2. Prayer in the Spirit
3. To Speak, Meditate and Do the Word.
Humility
Humility is simply submitting to the will of God even when you don’t feel like it. It is making a decision of the will to do the will of God, when it is not convenient for your flesh or your pride. It is a decision you need to make daily as part of the daily cross (Luke 9: 23) you are called to carry to follow the example of Christ.
Prayer in the Spirit
At the beginning of each day, after humbling yourself under the mighty hand of God, by making the decision to do His will even when you do not feel like it, pray in the Spirit for one or two hours continuously. This is to release the power of God into your life and circumstances for that day, and also to fellowship with God, speaking the mysteries of the Kingdom to get revelation knowledge (Rom. 8:26).
Speak, Meditate and Do the Word
Make positive confessions from the Word concerning your walking in love and the fruit of the Spirit, healing, protection, prosperity and whatever specific situations you may be facing.
Meditate the Word by daily bible reading and maintain a vigilant thought life. See every temptation that comes to your mind as an opportunity to meditate on the Word that counteracts that temptation.
If this is your daily habit, you will find that even on days when you are not able to pray as you should, or read your bible, or even speak or meditate the Word as you should, you will still find that His grace is sufficient (2Cor. 12:9).
Romans 5:20 (KJV)
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound
