ZION IN NIGERIA

OLUBI JOHNSON

Leviticus 26:4-6 (KJV)
Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

The conditions described in these verses describe a saved nation. One that is dominated by Zion. No nation has ever met these conditions yet.

But as God raises up a Zion beyond the rivers of Ethiopia among the sons of Ham, we are about to see the first saved nation appear.

The first of the firstfruits of perfection will be from the black African race because God has ordained that it will be so, and the rest of the Body of Christ need to keep their hearts with diligence to ensure that this does not become an offence and stumbling block to them.

The Scripture speaks prophetically of the bride of Christ being black: this implies that God will pioneer the perfection of the Church from the black race, the sons of Ham; just as He pioneered the birth of the Church from the Jews, the sons of Shem; and the Reformation of the Church from Germany and Europe; the sons of Japheth. However, the Bride of Christ will not be exclusively black, since in Christ all races are present (Rev. 7:9; Gal. 3:28).

Shem, Ham and Japheth were the three sons of Noah whose offspring repopulated the earth after the flood (Gen.10:1). The sons of Shem migrated eastward: the Jews, Arabs, Indians, Chinese, and Japanese etc. The sons of Japheth migrated northwards: the Europeans; and the sons of Ham migrated southward: Africans whose skins were darkened because of the sun.

Furthermore, we see that Ham, the black race, served the sons of Shem and Japheth because of Noah’s curse. The Scripture speaks of this as keeping the vineyards of my brothers and so neglecting my own vineyard (Song.1:6).

So God in His justice and righteousness chose the sons of Ham to pioneer the end time move of God to perfect the Church. The evidence of this abounds: in the last 30-40 years the number of people, especially young people in their teens and early twenties who got born-again in Nigeria, has increased tremendously.

Some of the largest churches in Europe and the USA today are pastored by Nigerians, indicating the great spiritual move of the Holy Spirit in Nigeria that is preparing a Zion church in Nigeria to fulfill her prophetic destiny. This is to
show God’s justice to all races and make Nigeria fulfill her prophetic destiny.
How then does the Zion Church in Nigeria fulfill in and for Nigeria, her prophetic destiny?

By spiritually ruling Nigeria with a rod of iron (Rev.12:5, 2:27) and so enforce conditions in Psalm 144:12-15.

Here, the Scripture prophetically speaks of Zion ruling in the midst of her enemies: Satan, principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world (Eph. 6:12) who are controlling and dominating nations.

We rule over them spiritually through prayer to enforce the Kingdom or dominion of God over the nations: in this particular case of Nigeria, to produce the conditions shown in Psalm 144:11-15 .

This is a prophetic picture of the great social, economic, agricultural and industrial prosperity of a Nigeria prospered by God through the Zion Church in Nigeria, that will be fulfilled in this third day before the Lord Jesus returns. It will be a taste of the powers of the Millennial age to come (Heb. 6:5).

It is easy to see from the above how this Zion prosperity will be a witness of the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations and so usher in the end of this age (Matt. 24:14).
